School Administrator and School Staff

The Principal Instructor is the School Director of Beacon School of Real Estate. The Principal Instructor/School Director is responsible for the overall school administration.

How Beacon School of Real Estate Chooses Instructors

Selection of Instructors will be chosen by the Principal Instructor/ School Administrator. Selected instructors will hold a broker or associate broker real estate license or qualifying  credentials in their area of expertise and have at least  five years of experience in real estate. A bio resume is  kept on file for all School instructors. Instructors will be paid according to the agreement between school and instructor.. Instructors are prohibited from recruiting or promoting their business  for personal gain.

How Beacon School of Real Estate Handles Payments and Refunds

Student payment is expected for each class at the time of registration for a class. Tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of a class. Beacon School of Real Estate accepts cash, check, money order or credit card (Visa/ MasterCard /Discover/American Express). Returned checks for non-sufficient funds (NSF) will be charged a $30.00 return check fee and the check will be redeposited immediately. At BeaconSchool of Real Estate, tuition payments are fully refundable if 7-days cancellation notice (prior to start of class) is given. Students leaving after a class begins will NOT receive a refund. Exceptions caused by hardship/emergency may be granted by the School Director. Completed courses are not eligible for a refund. Beacon School of Real Estate requires written notice (by email, fax, mail, or hand delivered) for withdrawals and transfers. Refunds will NOT  be issued without such written notice. Please allow 7-10 business days for credit card refunds.

Beacon School of Real Estate Student Enrollment Receipt

A student enrollment receipt will be issued to each student enrolled in a course either electronically or by written notice. The receipt will contain the following:

(A) Itemized tuition amount paid

(B) Course information

(C) Transaction confirmation #

Class Transfers At Beacon School of Real Estate

Registrants who have paid for a class, who wish to transfer their registration, will have a class credit with the Beacon School of Real Estate for 12 months from the date payment was made.   Beacon School of Real Estate requires written notice (by email, fax, mail, or hand delivered) for transfers. Transfers will NOT  be issued without such written notice.

Beacon School of Real Estate  Pre- Sales Agent Course and “Broker Pre-Licensure” Repeat Course Policy

  • Retake the “Pre- Sales Agent Course or Broker Pre-Licensure course one time within 6 months from the original course completion date using same textbook (additional textbook fee may apply if new textbook is needed) – $80 if space available
  • Retake course after 1 calendar year – FULL PRICE

Attendance

All classes begin on time when scheduled. Beacon School of Real Estate  complies with Arkansas Real Estate Commission Regulation § 35.358(a)(3), admission to class will cease after the scheduled start. Students leaving the classroom except during designated breaks or for emergencies are subject to loss of educational credit. Abusing this policy may result in dismissal from class without any financial or educational credit. Partial credits are not possible and full credits are earned for attendance of the entire class day regardless of credit hours granted.

Class Sizes at Beacon School of Real Estate

Beacon School of Real Estate sets minimum and maximum class sizes for all courses. Class size is determined by the facility resources and course design. Beacon School of Real Estate does not “ over book”.  Students  are encouraged to register as soon as possible for classes/dates that they desire. Waiting lists are available for classes already full.  Contact Beacon School of Real Estate for details. Beacon School of Real Estate does not guarantee any student  a space in a wait list class. Beacon School of Real Estate staff make every effort to accomodate wait list requests and will contact you should a space become available.

Beacon School of Real Estate & Inclement Weather

Classes will begin at the regularly scheduled time, unless otherwise determined by the School Administrator or the Principal Instructor. Inclement weather could affect the class schedule in the following ways: Delaying the start time, Early dismissal, and Cancellation of the class. If these interruptions are necessary by the School Administrator or the Principal Instructor, this will be communicated to the class instructor and students will be notified in a timely manner. Class cancellations will be made as early as possible, but will NOT be made before 24 hours before the start of a scheduled class. Should a Delayed start or Class cancellation be necessary, students will be notified by telephone and/or email by the school staff. Beacon School of Real Estate recommends students confirm class start times before classes are to begin.  Beacon School of Real Estate will create needed make-up sessions and students will be contacted.

Beacon School of Real Estate Cancellation Policy

It is Beacon School of Real Estate policy to ONLY cancel classes AS A LAST RESORT of unforeseeable circumstances preventing the class to be held. Student will be notified by telephone or email. If Beacon School of Real Estate cancels a class, the full amount of any tuition payment is refunded, and/or, the registrant will have the opportunity to transfer to another class.

Certificates of Completion at Beacon School of Real Estate

Beacon School of Real Estate will issue Certificates of Completion to each student once full course requirements are fulfilled (completed required course hours). Students are responsible for providing certificates to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission should they be required to do so for auditing purposes.

Beacon School of Real Estate Recruiting Policy

Recruiting for employment for any real estate brokerage firm, franchise, or network is NOT allowed in any class, unless approved by the School Director. Report any unauthorized recruiting to the Principal Instructor/Owner.

How Beacon School of Real Estate Handles Harassment & Disruptive Behavior

BeaconSchool of Real Estate policy states that all students, instructors and employees shall have the opportunity to learn and work in an environment free from any form of harassment or retaliation based on race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, or disability. NO forms of harassment, retaliation constituting discrimination under state or federal laws will be tolerated by the Beacon School of Real Estate  at any time.

Student behavior which interferes with the instructor’s effort  to teach or other students’ ability to learn will not be allowed and could result  in dismissal from class without refund. Disruptive behaviors are distracting to the Beacon School of Real Estate learning environment.

Beacon School of Real Estate’s Pet & Children Policy

In order to maintain minimal distractions, as well as for the safety of both children and pets, Beacon School of Real Estate has a “no children or pets allowed during class instruction” policy.  EXCEPTION : Service animals specifically trained to aid disabled persons are welcomed. Please contact the school administrator prior to enrolling in a Beacon School of Real Estate course in order to discuss your situation regarding service animals. 

 

Beacon School of Real Estate BROKER COURSE SCHOOL POLICIES

Attendance Policy

Course credit is determined by attendance. 100% attendance is required to earn course credit. Course credit hours are granted when a student has fulfilled the course attendance requirement. A Broker Pre-Licensure certificate of completion will be issued to the student after completing the full 60 hours Broker Pre-License course & completed practice test. Students must receive a 70% or better to pass the practice exam.  

Textbook Policy

The course textbook is included in the cost of the course. Students are required to have a copy of the current textbook being used.

Beacon School of Real Estate PRE-LICENSING COURSE SCHOOL POLICIES

The Beacon School of Real Estate offers the State required pre-licensing courses in the classroom and online through Career Webschool OnCourse Learning. 

Course Completion

Students have one year from the time of enrollment to complete the online course and 90 days from the initial enrollment for the classroom course.

Class Cancellation and Refunds at Beacon School of Real Estate

No refunds will be given once a student has registered or purchased an online course through On-Course Learning.

Beacon School of Real Estate Certificate of Completion

A Salesperson Pre-Licensure certificate of completion will be issued to the student after completing the full 60 hours Salesperson Pre-Licensure course.

Beacon School of Real Estate  ONLINE COURSE SCHOOL POLICIES

The Beacon School of Real Estate provides residential and commercial real estate agent pre-licensure and continuing education courses online through Mbition Learn Real Estate.

Beacon School of Real Estate Course Completion And Class Cancellation and Refund Policy

Students have 12 months from the time of initial enrollment to complete the online course. No refunds will be given once a student has registered or purchased an online course. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to the student by Mbition Learn Real Estate after completing the Mbition Learn Real Estate online course. 

Beacon School of Real Estate Electronic Device Policy

The Beacon School of Real Estate School Instructors, will have sole discretion, and will indicate when laptops and electronic devices may be used and when they should be put aside. Beacon School of Real Estate is NOT responsible for lost or stolen laptops or electronic devices. 

1. Students may utilize electronic devices during course breaks outside of the classroom. Beacon School of Real Estate asks  that cell phones be on silent mode during class time.

2. Visiting internet sites, checking email, or ANY non class related activities during class is considered a disruption to the class and is not acceptable student conduct.

3. USING laptops or wireless electronic devices is NOT ALLOWED during exams or quizzes.

4. NO recordings of Beacon School of Real Estate classes are allowed at any time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
